Wendy Whitfield has been a radiographer, an art student, a sales clerk, and a Commonword employee. She wrote under ‘Anonymous’ for a while before finding her place in a collective. She worked on the project which became Clout! a Commonword publication from 1979 of women’s accounts of domestic violence. In 1982, her poetry/art/cartoon pamphlet, ‘Diary of a Divorce’ was published with Commonword.
