Eric Randles was born in 1924 in Runcorn, Cheshire. He helped to form the (welfare benefits) claimant’s union in Partington, Greater Manchester and became one of the workers in its People’s Rights office. He took part in the Lifetimes project, in which he got to document some of his life story, along with his wife Betty Randles.
