This dual format, text and braille collection brings together some of the strong and varied voices that have helped shape the North West and national poetry scenes. The poems were selected by users of the National Library for the Blind and their poet in residence, Matthew Sweeney. Writing about love, identity and personal rebellion, these poets provide the reader with a fresh look and a fresh listen to the world we live in.
“I have a message for anyone listening
I am nothing
not two atoms put together
not one particle of matter
not a drip in the ocean
or a drop of something strong”
Pam Leeson
