Kailash Puri was a Punjabi became a writer of poetry and short stories whilst editing and writing features for a Punjabi women’s magazine. She had many books published in her lifetime, including short story collections, novels, books on sexology and an Indian cookery book. She was an agony aunt for the first generation of Indian Punjabi working-class settlers in Britain. In the 1970s, she was food consultant for Marks and Spencer. Whilst living in Crosby, Merseyside, she taught yoga. She died at the age of 92.
