Jolivia Gaston

Jolivia is a poet was born in England and is of mixed-race heritage. She has been published in Rain Dog and in Commonword anthologies. She has been resident poet for The Vine Project, which supports vulnerable children in South Africa and for Didsbury Good Neighbours. She self-published No In Between, about the trials and tribulations of a young black girl growing up in England. She has been commissioned work by The Chadderton Fellowship ladies group and Didsbury Art Festival. Jolivia has been in a number of Commonword writer groups over the years and has also served on the management committee.
