Cindy Artiste (d.?)

Cindy Artiste was a Black American playwright who came to Britain in 1979 and started writing in 1981. Her productions Face Value and Dreams With Teeth (Contact Theatre, Manchester) and Half Hearts and Quarter Measures (Avon Touring Theatre Company) were staged in the mid-1980s and her adaptation of Alice Walker’s Meridian (Contact Theatre, Manchester) was staged in 1990.
