Herzone Fantasy Short Stories by Women

“It was warm and bright, there was a sense of peaceful harmony. The grass and trees were all exotic colours and everything seemed to bask in some kind of sunlight. Everyone seemed so happy and friendly of course, I couldn’t understand them but they all waved and smiled. Not like here. Apparently it’s always like that, I didn’t want to leave. Anyway they dropped me off at Asda in time. We were back quick because we went through a time warp so I got all the shopping done.”

Taken from A Day Out by Janet Whalen

Herzone is a place where women have explored their dreams, fears and fantasies, both for here and now and for the future. Each of these sixteen original short stories reveal new worlds as yet unknown, some deceptively similar to our own. Step into the twilight of reality…
